Gardner Automotive is a second generation family-owned and operated automotive repair facility.  Here is our family's story.

 

Jim Gardner was an ASE master technician and owner at Protano's Service Center. In 2005 the property where Protano's service center was sold.  Jim was faced with a decision, he was not ready to retire yet and he loved the neighborhood that he was born, raised and worked his entire life in.  In January 2006, Jim decided to start his own business and Gardner Automotive was born. The shop is located just down the road and has been serving the community ever since.

Now Julia, Jim's daughter and Jim's son in law, Jeff, own Gardner Automotive. Both Jeff and Julia learned from Jim and are focused on upholding the business with the same standard of quality and honesty that Jim maintained for years with all his beloved customers.

Jeff and Julia have taken over the business where her father left off. Julia is the service manager and handles day to day operations. From a young age Julia wanted to work at Protano's.  After going to college and considering other careers, she returned home to Gardner Automotive.

​

Julia is a state certified inspector who possesses a wealth of knowledge about cars, which she learned from her father thru her entire life. She constantly expands her knowledge through both classroom learning and hands-on experience in shop.  Julia ability to translate what your car needs into terms that you can understand is unmatched.  Gardner Automotive counts on Julia to keep customers informed about what is going on in the shop and with their cars.  Gardner Automotive prides itself on being transparent with the process of repairing your car with clear communication, and this is where Julia excels.

 Jeff is a versatile individual who has a knack for problem-solving and learning new things. He is a true jack of all trades and can tackle any challenge that comes his way.  Jeff's upbringing on a farm instilled in him a valuable skill set - the ability to fix anything himself. From cars to plumbing, Jeff's hands-on experience has made him a valuable resource.  Jeff and Jim were two peas in a pod and Julia could not have found someone more like her father to marry. Jeff is the shop foreman who oversees everything in the shop and with your vehicle. He ensures that all work is done efficiently and to the highest standard.
